Paragon Achieves High Standard of Florida Wind Testing

Paragons roof systems have reached high standard of Florida wind testing

Paragon Roof Systems is excited to announce that we have achieved Florida Product Code approval for every profile in our line of composite roofing products.

Following the devastation of repeated hurricanes, the state of Florida established a rigorous product approval system in 2003. Per this code, certain building components, including roofing products, are required to be tested, evaluated, validated, and accepted by the Florida Building Commission before they are installed. The Florida building code standards are considered among the most stringent product standards in the U.S., particularly in the High Velocity Hurricane Zones located in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Paragon roofing products have undergone extensive testing to evaluate performance in high wind. Our customers can be assured their Paragon roofing has achieved the highest standards to receive full approval.

Florida homeowners can now enjoy peace of mind in choosing Paragon roofing products that meet their aesthetic desires and budget goals. Paragon Natura Mission Tile and Natura High Barrel Tile meet Florida Product Code requirements as an attractive alternative to concrete, clay or metal. The wind rating requirements are satisfied, whether using nails or screws. The best part is that the tile can be gun nailed, another first for the composite tile industry.

Natura Slate, Shake and Concrete are also Florida Product Code approved. All three profiles are installed at 12” exposure. Paragon offers the widest variety of profiles for the composite market.
